I tried to work with the Offices as much as I could, creating thematic armies.įor example, I put Daith in the Master of Drums and tried to build a Loec theme but the buffs are really not meaningful enough.
Just in the middle of an Orion campaign (turn 76 Legendary/VH). Also Orion is far better at leading the aggressive cavalry components of the Welf roster, for what it's worth. As far as ease of use and reliability, Sisters beat Orion. Pound for pound, Orion beats the Sisters. Makes him unsafe compared to the quick and powerful flyong ranged dominance the Sisters bring. In a straight up brawl he kicks the hell out of the Sisters. Orion himself doesn't suck, even after the nerf. Furthermore, on its own the Wild Hunt is worse off than it was before the update. So all those same province army bonuses which would be awesome are instead wasted because your armies are scattered across the world.
Even if you don't expand across the world, you'll still need to get a presence to as many Magical Forests as possible, and if you build around Orion and one unstoppable massive Wild Hunt you won't be able to protect your other Forests. They can't afford to limit their footprint like that. The Wood Elfs don't play around stacking multiple armies. A massive sweeping tight pack of lords that raze everything in their path to generate massive income before returning to the woods. Basically, his offices create supporting lords that provide bonuses to other armies in the same province so that you can stack a massive tide around Orion himself leading the Wild Hunt. The thing that makes Orion unique is supposed to be the Wild Hunt and the function of his offices. It was never intended to be ported backwards. The unique post battle captives options and Daiths Forge are both specifically designed for the Sisters.
